D:hive – A Welcome Center in Detroit on Woodward Ave. 2012-2015

Brand Design • Community • Social Design

As a design resident at D:hive, a welcome center in Detroit that operated from 2012 to 2015, I contributed to various design projects that promoted the city and supported its residents, workers, and visitors. Some of these projects include creating checklist flyers listing all the latest Detroit shops and restaurants, developing brand identities for new small businesses and organizations, and designing and printing a limited edition book chronicling the years of D:hive. This residency allowed me to see the impact of design on the community and to collaborate with a diverse and passionate team of designers, entrepreneurs, and community members.
